Elizabeth Gilbert wrote a letter to her fear (Big Magic, pages 25 and 26), which she characterized as a third wheel on a road trip on which Liz and her creativity were going. This letter ended with a firm reminder that it wouldn’t be allowed a vote. It wouldn’t be allowed to touch the road maps, suggest detours, fiddle with the temperature, or touch the radio. Above all else, fear was absolutely forbidden to drive.

Happy new year 2019!

Wrapping up 2018 by celebrating the collaborative generosity of some remarkable peers and colleagues and mentors inside The Marketing Seminar and The Bootstrappers Workshop. I’ve learned so much from you this year. This sketch inspired by people who matter because they love the work they do and the people they do it with, people who are gracious and generous, who leave the world a better place, continue to raise the bar, touch people through their actions and words, and who brighten the room when they walk in.

May we all learn to matter more in ways that truly matter.
